Truss Designer – This position is responsible for designing roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software. Responsibilities of the Truss Designer position are to ensure that truss designs are accurately designed based on customer plans while optimizing the designs to save on material and labor and conforming to code and company standards. This position requires an individual with general construction knowledge and attention to detail. Apply Today!

• Full-Time Position
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Occasional weekends)
• Starting Pay + $15.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
• Paid Vacation

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. Likes designing things in a computer. Experience with MiTek software is a plus however training will be provided.
• Knowledgeable in the basic aspects of construction
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and drawings
• Experience in truss design, layout, quoting and/or sales preferred
• Ability to analyze, trouble shoot and problem solve
• Excellent people skills, answer phone professionally, strong customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibit effective time management, organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to oversee and schedule workflow
• Ability to maneuver a trailer and operate a forklift if needed
• Maintains detailed records and reports of related information on a job-to-job basis
• Consistently demonstrates an effort to maintain an efficient and organized working environment.
• Ordering and inventory control experience
• A valid NYS driver’s license
• Dependability; reliable mode of transportation
